My Go-To Snack

The mighty Avocado can contain up to 22 % fat, mostly monounsaturated oleic acid. The fat content sounds high but it’s the GOOD GUY. Avocados are also full of carotenoids, B-Complex and C vitamins in addition to numerous minerals such as potassium, magnesium, iron, calcium and phosphorus. Try to add ½ an Avocado to your daily diet.

The Walnut is a very nutritious nut containing minerals like iron, magnesium, phosphorus, potassium and zinc. It has a high proportion of Omega-3 linolenic acid. Due to its composition it is likely to go rancid fast, so ideally use walnuts that you have shelled yourself.

The blueberry a source of carbohydrates loaded with vitamins, minerals, phytonutrients and fiber. Due to its fiber content it may reduce the total amount of cholesterol in the blood and decrease the risk of heart disease. Berries in general are rich in polyphenols - antioxidants that protect cells in the heart and lower blood pressure. Adding fruit to your diet has been associated with a reduced risk of systemic inflammation. Don’t you love how fruit provides a natural sweetness to your taste buds?

Cottage cheese is a cheese curd product that is high in many nutrients, including protein, B vitamins, and minerals like calcium, selenium, and phosphorus. It can deliver probiotics (check the label for live and active cultures).

Add all ingredients to a bowl, mix, and Enjoy! Sprinkle with Bragg organic Sea Kelp delight seasoning and Dulse granules, if you wish. Feel free to make substitutions, based on your dietary needs and restrictions.
